FICA Documents: Understanding the requirements

FICA-required documentation

Herewith is a list of the documents we accept;

I           –          ID, Drivers Licence or Passport. 

R          –          CIPRO/CIPC documentation reflecting the details required (registered name, and registration number) Founding Statement or NPO/Trust Certification

The original or certified copy of the most recent Certificate of Incorporation (Form CM1) or (Form CM9) where a company’s name has changed, and therefore differs from the CM1.

W         – The residential address must contain the name of the business or the contract holder, if the W is in someone else’s name they must provide a copy their ID and a letter stating that the contract holder lives at the mentioned address, and physical address (PO Box numbers will not suffice), or stand number and suburb (for South African addresses).

Herewith a list:

a bank statement

a lease or rental agreement (less than twelve months old) which is signed

a municipal rates and taxes invoice

a Telkom or any other fixed-line provider account

tenant’s documentation:

• a declaration from the property owner/landlord
• a permit to occupy the premises
• a site rental certificate

We also accept affidavits made with the SAPS, if client cannot provide anything else, or is living in a rural area.

B          –           A Bank Statement (Within the last 3 months) Online Bank Statements,  ATM statements and Downloads are accepted, but they must have the banks insignia, and be easily identifiable.
