WAPPoint Point Of Sale - Syncing App to Server.
To connect your Local POS with you App, there are a few steps to make sure that your Local POS and your App sync with each other. This is how;
- On the home screen of the Local POS, go to “Hive”, In “Store Apps” and select “Start Server”. On the taskbar, there will appear a WAPPoint Icon and that indicates that the server is running in the background. If you click on the icon, it will open the Server.
- On the server screen that is now open on your desktop, you will see there is an IP Address. You are going to enter this IP Address on a specific place on your App.
- Now, on your Android Device open your WAPPoint Point Of Sale App and go to Settings on the home screen.
- Select “Sign In” and enter the details that you registered with when you first downloaded the App.
- Next you select the Warehouse that you want to sync to (this is the same Warehouse that you are currently logged into on your Desktop).
- Make sure that the “Sync to local POS” toggle is turned on.
- Now this is where the IP Address comes in that was mentioned in the second step. Go back to your server on the Desktop and make sure that the IP Address that you capture in your App, is the same. It will not sync if this information is not correct.
- Next to where the IP Address was captured, select “Test” and a notification will come up that says “Connected.”
- The next step is now to import your Touch Buttons from the Local POS, to your App.
- In your App, go to “Set up” and select “Import Buttons from POS”
- Wait for the App to notify you that the import was successful.
- To test your buttons, go back to the home screen and select “POS Touch.” You can now do sales form your App.
